Handwoven hemp, hand-drawn batik, by ethnic minority, from Vietnam
This passport cover is handmade from hemp as well as from a vintage batik fabric made by the H´Mông ethnic minority. It can fit a passport of a size 9x13cm but you may also store two passports (each in one of the compartments). There is furthermore space for other documents you may need.
The H´Mông are one of the largest ethnic minority groups residing in the northern mountainous areas of Vietnam, well known for their hemp-weaving and hand-drawn batik-making skills.
The slight imperfections and the hand-drawn batik pattern slightly varying in motifs and motif sizes make every passport cover unique.
Find also more information on the batik technique in our ´materials´ section.
